So you really love our tools and find it easy to spread the word (let's face it, it comes easy if something enhances your life - to share it with others). But it's not so easy to let your mates "borrow" those tools - God forbid they lose them or "forget to return" them. They really need their own!

1. How do I add my Supporters Link to my INSTAGRAM Page?
Instagram allows you to add a single web link to your profile. Most people use this to link back to their website or You Tube channel.
a) If you have neither of these, you can add your Silky Store supporters link instead and your followers will be directed to the Silky Store website (any purchase they make when on our site from this link will generate you commission).
b) If your Instagram profile link is already used to link back to your website or YouTube channel, you have several options. You can either add your Silky Store supporters link from the home page of your website* or on your You Tube channel profile*, or you can use a "Link in bio" app - that allows you to add as many links as you wish. If you refer to the SilkyStore IG page and click the Link in Bio, you will see we use an app that allows our customers to navigate to useful links (eg, our website, useful blogs and old posts).
*Refer below for help on adding the link to the home page on your website or You Tube Channel profile.
1a. Adding the link directly on my IG profile
From your phone:
You can add the link on your IG bio section:
- Go to your profile and tap on the “Edit Profile” button.
- Add the URL in the Website field. In the “Website” field, enter your SilkyStore supporters link.
- Save the changes. Tap on “Done” and that's it–you now have a link in your Instagram bio.
1b. Adding a "link in bio" app like the one on the SilkyStore IG page
There are lots of app options that will do this. Click the link in our Instagram profile to see ours (as an example). We've used an app called "Linktree" which has a free option that is all that you need.
Download the app and set up your links (add your Website and/or You Tube channel links and also your Supporters Link to the SilkyStore). Then add the and link it to your Instagram Profile. it is much easier than it sounds and Link Tree provide a How To if you need it.
2. How do I add my Supporters Link to my FACEBOOK Page?
2.a I don't have a website or You Tube channel
So you can use the website link field to add your SilkyStore Supporters link and when people click on it, and purchase, your commission will be added to your account.
Log in to your Profile and click on the "About" tab, and you'll see an "Edit Page Info" option. Click on it.
In Website Link: copy and paste (or type) your SS Supporters link
2.b Simply add your SilkyStore supporters link to the bottom of a post when you are showcasing any of our tools.
3. How do I add my Supporters Link to my YOU TUBE CHANNEL?
To maximise your commission, you need to make it easy for your followers/customers to click on the link (ie, make it OBVIOUS). But the link doesn't need to look crass or out of sorts with the rest of your You Tube profile.
You can log in to your supporters account here to copy and paste your unique supporters link to your You Tube profile.
Here's an example of text you can add to your profile:
"We love our (insert name of your favourite SilkyStore tool) and rather than lend it to our mates, we suggest you go buy your own. Link to the NZ online store where we buys ours is right here"
Then insert the link on the words "right here" and that's all there is too it. If your mates/followers/customers click this link, browse our tools and then buy, you get 10% of the sale. You can log in to your account to see your commission earnings and we'll pay the amount out to you when your balance reaches NZD$100.
4. How do I add my Supporters Link to my WEBITE?
Super easy - but it does depend on what website builder you are using.
To maximise your commission, you need to make it easy for your followers/customers to click on the link (ie, make it OBVIOUS). But the link doesn't need to look crass or out of sorts with the rest of your website content.
You can log in to your supporters account here to copy and paste your unique supporters link.
Some ways to add the link to your website:
1. Add an image (we have some that you can download from your Supporters account) and insert/attach the link to that image
2. Write a paragraph and insert the link, for example:
"We love our (insert name of your favourite SilkyStore tool) and rather than lend it to our mates, we suggest you go buy your own. Link to the NZ online store where we buys ours is right here"
Then insert the link on the words "right here" and that's all there is too it. If your mates/followers/customers click this link, browse our tools and then buy, you get 10% of the sale. You can log in to your account to see your commission earnings and we'll pay the amount out to you when your balance reaches NZD$100.
CAN I STILL GIVE OUT MY SPECIAL DISCOUNT CODE TO MY FOLLOWERS?
Yes, you sure can.
You can continue to give out the special code we've given you (this is different to your SilkyStore supporters link) to your followers but you will only receive commission on those that get to our website through your SilkStore Supporters link. So, on your website, You Tube channel and social sites, you could include something like:
"Click this link to take you to the best little online tool shop in NZ. If you use discount code XXXX during the checkout process, you will get 10% off your purchase. What's not to love about that?"
